The Banquet is June 21 at the Civic Center in Aztec, NM. The doors will open at 4:00pm with dinner being served at 5:00pm with a program to follow.

All finished portraits will be on display with the first 9 will be given to the families.

On the side of the Aztec Chamber of Commerce was a blue car, twisted and contorted from a car crash involving a drunken driver. A child's furry animal backpack, along with coloring books and plastic toy cars still lay in the back seat.

Nikki Smith, a well known artist from Aztec, has found a new calling.

Yes, she continues to produce beautiful paintings that inspire many and bring greater appreciation for art. Some of her more recent works, however, have a uniquely special meaning.
